ABOUT PRENUPTUAL AGREEMENTS

"Premarital" (Antenuptial) Agreements, are agreements executed between prospective spouses in contemplation of marriage, to be effective upon marriage. [Ca Fam Sec.1610(a)]

Premarital agreements executed on or after January 1, 1986 are subject to the Uniform Premarital Agreement Act (Ca Fam Sec.1600 et seq.). They may deal with the parties' present and future property rights, both inter vivos and postmortem, and other related matters incident to the marital relationship (but may not adversely affect a child's right to support).

3 LEVELS OF SERVICE

FORMS ONLY
($75)
 We will provide you with a generic form - both hard copy and file on floppy disk (PC only). You take the risk that the form you prepare is properly drafted and executed and meets legal requirements.
ATTORNEY ASSISTED
($250)
 We draft the agreement for you and send you both a hard copy and file on floppy disk (PC only). In addition you receive up to one hour of attorney time to assist you in properly negotiating and executing the agreement. (Proper procedure and timing of negotiation and execution is essential to meet legal requirements.)
FULL REPRESENTATION
($225 Per Hour)
 We negotiate the agreement with your spouse and/or his/her attorney, draft the agreement, and supervise the execution.
